Lincoln Property Company and Lincoln Military Housing are proud to announce the creation of Lincoln Charities, Inc., a charitable organization that will benefit our employees. The purpose of Lincoln Charities, Inc. is to help our own employees in times of need by providing disaster relief and emergency hardship assistance.
The properties will be encouraged to organize fund raising events and solicit donations from vendors and business partners as we have done in the past for other charitable organizations such as the Stephen Siller Let Us Do Good Children’s Foundation. A unique feature of Lincoln Charities, Inc. is that another source of funding for the charity will come from our own employees. Beginning in April 2008, Lincoln employees will be able to make tax-deductible contributions through a voluntary, automatic payroll deduction. In this way, the Lincoln “family” can help each other from within. Our goal is to raise $125,000 in 2008.
Requests for assistance will be sent to a committee who will review the requests and distribute funds based on need. Funds may be distributed as immediate disaster assistance, short-term assistance, or long-term assistance.
